Gem Mint
A Total Grading Gem Mint 10 is a card that is considered the highest quality in the collecting world. It must have four undamaged corners, sharp edges, and a flawless surface. A Total Grading 10 will not show any marks, stains, or other signs of damage, and its centering will be nearly perfect, with less than a 60/40 split. While there may be very minor defects present, they will not take away from the overall appeal of the card.

A Total Grading Mint 9 is a card that is almost as perfect as a Gem Mint 10 card. This grade may have a small flaw in the corners, edges, or the surface, but it is still considered to be in exceptional condition. In order to receive this grade, the card must have centering that is better than 65/35 for any opposite pair on the front, and 70/30 for any opposite pair on the back of the card.
